Captain America’s signature armament, this star-spangled circular shield was crafted from nigh-indestructible vibranium by Howard Stark – father of Tony Stark. Steve Rogers carried the shield into battle throughout World WarI II, and it remained by his side in the modern day, protecting him from bullets, alien lasers, and even Thor's hammer Mjolnir!
Stronger than steel and a third of the weight, the shield made use of vibranium's exotic qualities to absorb and reflect energy – allowing Steve to ricochet it off walls like a returning discus, absorb the impact of dizzying falls, and even deflect Iron Man's repulsor beams like a devastating prism.
