Mobile Suit Gundam is a Japanese media franchise popularized by the numerous anime and manga series that take place within the universe of the franchise. With a focus towards giant mecha that are piloted by humans, the space opera franchise is considered by many to contain some of the more memorable sci-fi designed robots and mecha in media. Centuries after the "Calamity War", the people of Mars clamor for independence from Earth rule. Left to die by their adult higher-ups, the children and teenage soldiers of a Martian private security company are forced to pilot the mysterious Gundam Barabatos after a surprise attack by the Earth-based Gjallerhorn organization. They could not know that by doing so, a chain of events would erupt that will bring chaos, doom and hope to not only themselves, but the entire solar system.
