Denji becomes a Devil Hunter for the Yakuza to pay off his father’s debt but once the Yakuza betrays and kills Denji, the Chainsaw Devil Pochita, becomes his heart and thus Chainsaw Man is born.

Chainsaw Man is a Japanese franchise first published in the December 2018 Weekly Shonen Jump magazine and is created by Tatsuki Fujimoto. Chainsaw Man focuses on a struggling and poor Denji as he befriends the devil Pochita and later gains the powers of the Chainsaw Devil, as he is pulled around to combat various other powerful devils causing harm. The franchise has quickly gained a following and is one of the fastest selling manga series in Japan, along with an anime adaption that proved to be highly successful in expanding the brands popularity around the world.
