Tik Ka From East, an artist who is well-known for creating works that combine asian and western culture, crosses over with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Big Boys Toys to create the new Fūrinkazan series.
The creation concept comes from Fūrinkazan (wind, forest, fire and mountain), a Japanese military motto adopted by daimyō Takeda Shingen in the Sengoku period in ancient Japan. Originating from Sun Tze's The Art of War, a military treatise from the ancient Chinese wartimes, the quote "as swift as wind, as gentle as forest, as fierce as fire, as unshakable as mountain." becomes a philosophy in military as well as in life.
Based on the idea of a god, Tik Ka From East transforms the Ninja Turtle characters with Fūrinkazan, the philosophical allegory about wind, forest, fire and mountain. The four Ninja Turtle characters are represented in antique style, as if their spirits and persistence can stand at the test of time.
