After a successful early career in MMA, Conor McGregor made his UFC debut in 2013. McGregor, known for his counter-striking skills, striking precision and knockout power, became the first UFC fighter to hold UFC championships in two weight classes, Featherweight and Lightweight, simultaneously. He holds several records including fastest win in a UFC Championship fight, most consecutive Performance of the Night awards in UFC history, Greatest Knockout in UFC's first 25 Years, and was named 2015 Fighter of the Year. McGregor made the Time Top 100 Most Influential People in 2017, was ranked as the world's highest-paid athlete by Forbes in 2021, and is credited with popularizing mixed martial arts and the UFC around the globe.
