Marvel has seen another level of success and popularization with the launch of the brand's Marvel cinematic universe beginning in the late 2000's.
Debuting in the iconic 1954 Japanese film Godzilla (Gojira) directed by Ishiro Honda and produced by Toho Co.; Godzilla is a monsterous creature called a Kaiju that causes havok throughout Japan. Godzilla has become a cultural icon that is widely considered to be the "King of the Monster" and has been featured in a plethora of films with various differences throughout the decades.
