The series follows Natsuki Subaru a shut-in character who is transported to a fantasy world where he is bestowed the ability to come back from death. The Re:Zero franchise has become a highly successful franchise both critically and commerically, with characters such as the twins, Rem and Ram, becoming cultural icons over the years in Japan.
